January 2012 AUDITION APPLICATIONS ARE NOW CLOSED
Are you a dancer? A choreographer? A martial arts master?
Do you spin flaming objects around your body? Would you like to?
Come on down and audition to be part of one of the most versatile and dynamic fire performance groups in town.
WHEN? January 7, 2012 (Callbacks and overflow date January 8, 2012)
WHERE? Location TBD based on demand.
WHY? Because new members bring fresh ideas. Because we want to do a self-produced show in 2012.
FIRE EXPERIENCE NOT NECESSARY! While it’s perferable to have a background in fire, it’s not entirely necessary. We welcome technically proficient spinners, but our focus is choreography and showmanship. We are looking for dedicated, responsible entertainers who can move–shake it– flow — y’know?
Our ideal members are quick, kinesthetic learners, and enjoy any kind of object manipulation (juggling, hoops, staff, poi, etc…). You must be able to attend 1-2 rehearsals per week, plus additional rehearsals leading up to shows, and a few hours a week to spend on administrative/planning tasks. Strong dance background and performance experience is preferred. Experience in promoting, marketing, or other aspects of running a business is also a plus.
